Academy at Westbury
Seventeen students from Motheo Construction Company successfully graduated in construction on December 2. The construction company employed twenty local unemployment youth and enrolled them into built environment programmes.
The programmes had an aim for the students to develop incubating-built environment skills, and for them to experience and gain the ability to adapt to the requirements of the business environment. The initial project started in 2017 at the Westbury Transformation Development Centre (TDC).
The students, along with management from the construction company were joined by leaders from the Westbury community who were instrumental in making sure youngsters from the community are given a fair chance on construction taking place within our communities.
